Thomas County TPM Meaning

A Tentative Parole Month, commonly shortened to TPM, is the month in which the Georgia Board expects to complete final review and, when appropriate, establish a parole release date. It concerns a state inmate being considered for parole. The month is neither an order freeing the person nor proof that release took place. That point matters when a Thomas County case moved from the county jail to Georgia Department of Corrections custody. The sheriff's released roster records departures from the local jail, but it does not track a later Board decision made during a state sentence.

The Board may establish a TPM, deny parole, reconsider a case, or alter an earlier decision before release. Its process describes the month as conditioned on good prison conduct and, in some cases, completion of a program. Misconduct reported by GDC can postpone or cancel the month. 4. Compare the name and GDC number with the GDC offender record.
5. Read the TPM wording without converting the month into a firm date.

Thomas County Parole Timeline
